Hassan Masoumi
About the author
Hassan Masoumi is an Iranian-born novelist and entrepreneur based in Dubai. Having lived in different places and spent much of his life interacting with people from diverse cultures, he has developed a deep interest in the ways history, identity, faith, and geography shape human lives.
His novels travel across countries, generations, and periods of history, yet remain centred on intimate human experiences: love, loss, family, displacement, ambition, and the search for belonging. Through emotionally rich, character-driven stories, he explores what people leave behind, what they carry with them, and how the past continues to live within the present.
His novels include My Name Is Marcel, Before God and the Register, Fire Keeper, and And the Music.
